  1. Happy firing.  Clayworks now twice fired.  i will repack tomorrow for a third firing.  This firing is for a decal of my signature and some information.  I do this because it is easy to lose information about works.  I use an utilitarian style on the house numbers an a more creative design for the art works  I use Decal specialists in Victoria for special orders  They give great results.  i print my own on a HP lazer printer.  I have tried for a long time to get it to work  As I have used red I can only fire to 780 degrees.  See www.badgeofhonour.com.au or my web page for poppy tiles Solution found.
  2. Apply decal in the usual way.  Allow to dry.  If in a hurry you can use a hair drier on low
  3. when dry apply a thin coat of baby oil mixed with some clear china paint powder.  When mixed the powder looks like it has disappeared but it is still there.
  4. Brush thin layer on decal  This has worked very well for me.  Decals will fire to a dark brown
  5. this method allows you a lot of flexibility
